4 Days Bike, Boat & Trek
Leave Siem Reap by bike. Along laterite tracks reach the Tonle Sap. 27 km. There we take a boat to reach the floating village of Mey Chrey. Visit the village and have lunch on a floating house. Then take another boat to reach Kompong Phluk. Visit the village on the lake and the flooded forest. This area is under protection of UNESCO.
Dinner and home stay overnight at the village.
Breakfast. Leave Kompong Phluk by boat during rainy season and bike during dry season. Ride 35 km along the river and in the countryside to reach the Hill called Phnom Bok. Trekking to the top of the hill in order to visit a remote angkorian temple and to enjoy the unique view on the countryside. Get back down the hill where a minivan is waiting for you to transfer you nearby an artificial lake built during Pol Pot regime. Lunch by the lake. Then transfer to the Bantey Ampoeul lost temple. To reach the temple you need to walk around 6 km.
Camping inside the temple.
Breakfast. Trekking 7 km to around complex the Beng Mealea Temple. Visit the ruin temples at the area. Lunch. Transfer to the village of Svay Loeu 11 km from there. Here we start our trek to Mount Kulen natural reserve. Walk around 10 km to reach the top of the Kulen. Stay and rest at Anlong Thom, very small village near a river. Bath in the river.
Dinner and night at village local home.
trekking through the forest to reach the carved stone animals from Angkor era (huge elephant in stone, lion, etc.). A very nice walk in the forest. Walk back to a place where the minivan is waiting to bring us to bring us to the waterfalls of Preah Ang Thom.
Lunch by the waterfall.
Return to Siem Reap in the evening.
